Surgical (scialytic) light
A ceiling-mounted lamp with multiple LED sources arranged in satellites around a central reflector to dilute the surgeon's own shadow; typical illuminance of 100,000-160,000 lux at 1 m, adjustable color temperature (roughly 3,800-6,000 K) and a color rendering index Ra ≥95, with a detachable, autoclavable sterile handle at the center of the head.
How it is used
Provides focused, intense, shadow-free illumination of the surgical field during any procedure, regardless of specialty.
Clinical tip
Technical standards require the temperature rise in the illuminated field to stay below 1°C, so as not to dry out or damage exposed tissue during long procedures.
