How this catalog is written

Every Vademecum entry comes from the Instriq instrument catalog, an open-source project. Content is written following a two-stage process:

1. Research. For each specialty or batch of instruments, a draft is written from medical/surgical knowledge and real web research against standard sources (surgical textbooks, perioperative nursing literature, manufacturer documentation) -- never generated or invented without being checked.

2. Skeptical, independent verification. A second review, done separately from the initial draft, checks each proposal for medical accuracy, duplication with instruments already in the catalog, and consistency across the 3 languages, defaulting to rejecting anything doubtful.

The full history of catalog expansions, including proposals rejected during verification, is public in docs/CHANGELOG.md in the GitHub repository.
