Asch forceps
A long forceps with two narrow blades, one inserted into each nostril, designed to grasp and mobilize the nasal septum and nasal bones.
How it is used
Used in the reduction of nasal and septal fractures, applying traction and elevation force to reposition displaced bone and cartilage.
Clinical tip
Symmetric insertion of both blades is essential to avoid injuring the septal mucosa during the reduction maneuver.
