Killian nasal speculum
A nasal speculum with long, narrow blades and a scissor handle, designed to open and hold the nostril dilated at depth.
How it is used
Used in endonasal surgery (septoplasty, turbinate surgery) to obtain a deep view of the nasal cavity, beyond the vestibule.
Clinical tip
The long blades allow access to the posterior septal region, unlike short basic-examination nasal specula.
