Suction blister device (epidermal harvesting)

System combining mild heat and controlled vacuum (or, in its low-cost variant, a syringe plus a manometer) to raise an intact epidermal blister at a donor site, yielding a thin epidermal graft without a scalpel.

How it is used

Harvesting autologous epidermal micro/minigrafts for melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation in stable, treatment-resistant vitiligo, without scarring the donor site.

Clinical tip

The resulting grafts measure about 1.8mm in diameter and the whole process takes under an hour.
