Acland microvascular clamp
A miniaturized clamp with very low, constant closing pressure, designed to temporarily occlude sub-millimeter vessels without damaging the endothelium.
How it is used
Used in reconstructive microsurgery and free flap transfer to temporarily occlude very fine arteries and veins during microvascular anastomosis.
Clinical tip
Its calibrated closing pressure avoids the spasm and endothelial injury that conventional vascular clamps would cause on such fine vessels.
